The incident happened on Abiola Street, Ibeshe titun, Ikorodu, Lagos State. According to eye-witnesses, the two brothers, Tosin and Yakubu, who are in their late twenties, were drinking garri in the same bowl when the elder brother (Tosin), discovered that Yakubu was too fast for him and he hit the younger sibling with a hard object on the head which made the victim to start bleeding. In an attempt to run away from being manhandled by residents of the community, Tosin hit his manhood against an iron rod. The two brothers were both rushed to the General Hospital in Ikorodu as a result of the serious injuries they sustained. The older brother (Tosin) was confirmed to be a bricklayer while the younger brother (Yakubu) works as a carpenter in a nearby workshop. Investigation revealed that both brothers do not live with their parents and their relations have since condemned the act. One of their neighbours, who did not want be named, while reacting to the incident, said that, "we took them to a nearby hospital, 'LifeGuard' but they were rejected so we had to quickly rush them to the General Hospital. "It is a serious case because no one would have expected Tosin and Yakubu to fight over a bowl of garri. I just hope that they respond to treatment early enough s
