A woman is nursing injuries after she was attacked by her sister-in-law’s over a man.

The incident happened on Sunday at Bogitaa in Kisii County.

Residents said Zipporah Kemuma, found her brother’s wife, Rose Kemunto, in a compromising situation with a man who is Kemuma’s lover.

“Kemuma asked her lover, Joseph Oroo to pay her a visit at their home. Oroo arrived home and found Kemuma missing and he decided to wait for her to return from the farm. He decided to have a chat with a wife of Kemuma’s brother when Kemuma found them and attacked Rose accusing her of plotting to snatch her man,” said a local, Elvis Makori.

Area Chief, Maurice Marambe confirmed the incident and said Rose was rescued by neighbours who heard her screaming for help.

“Men are scarce but, that doesn’t mean women should fight each other. It is time women should go slowly when making love and stop unnecessary fights over men,” said the Chief.

He said the victim was rushed to Riana dispensary for treatment following the injuries she sustained on his forehead.

Marambe said the suspect has gone into hiding with the man but they are being traced to be arrested.
