ENV-NEWS: Senator GNS Pwajok dies of Hepatocellular carcinoma, Official statement -SAID- Sen. Jonah Jang

PRESS STATEMENT

I am greatly pained and deeply saddened
to inform you of the passing of a true
Plateau son,our brother, mentor to the
younger generation, and a truly
distinguished Senator, Gyang Nyam
Shom Pwajok who passed on yesterday,
28th October, 2015 after a brief battle
with complications from Hepatocellular
carcinoma.

As a firm believer in the supremacy of
God over every being and all His
creation, I believe that He has set out for
everyone, their time upon the earth. It
has pleased Him to take Sen. Pwajok at
this time; all we can do, is to thank Him
and not question His authority.
As a detribalised man, Sen. Pwajok
served his purpose through his sojourn in
politics and his tenure in the Red
Chamber by bringing together different
people, divergent views and ideologies
with the sole aim of unifying all. It is for
this singular cause that he lived and
flourished to his exit. His greatest desire
even in death; is to see Plateau people
and the nation at large become one
unified, indivisible entity.
I join Plateau people in praying that God
give his soul recompense for the good he
impacted on humanity and call on all well
meaning Nigerians, Plateau people, and
especially those whom his last call to
duty was to represent in the National
Assembly; to stand by the family and
honour the memory of the departed
Senator who sold himself to the service
of humanity, country and State.
The family would inform us all on the
details of the burial as would be agreed
by them.

Thank you.
Sen. Jonah David Jang
(Senator Representing Plateau North,
National Assembly)
Below is the signed copy of Senator Jang
statement

RIP GNS by Jos by Ezzy -De -Don _ Agu.

BREAKING-NEWS Plateau State PDP governorship candidate, GNS Pwajok, dead

Senator GNS Pwajok; credit:
viewpointnigeria.com
Reports we are monitoring from Jos, the
Plateau state capital, indicate that
Senator Gyang Nyam Shom Pwajok has
passed away.

Pwajok was the governorship candidate
of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP)
at the April 11, 2015 governorship
elections in Plateau state.

On Monday, the Plateau state
governorship election petition tribunal
dismiss the petition filed by Pwajok and
the PDP against the victory of Governor
Simon Lalong, who was candidate of the
All Progressives Congress (APC).

The three-man tribunal headed by
Justice Johnson Candida dismissed the
petition for lack of merit, holding that
the case of the petitioners were based
on documentary hearsay. The tribunal
also awarded the cost of N50,000 againstthe petitioners to be paid to each of the respondents being Governor Lalong, APC and INEC.

A family source in Jos on Thursday
morning said Pwajok had been coping
with deteriorating health for some time
and that he passed away last night.
When contacted, another family member
admitted that the former governorship
candidate was “in a critical condition but
still alive.”
At least two other family sources
contacted however ‘confirmed’ that the
former governorship candidate had lost
the battle.
Pwajok was replaced at the Senate by
his mentor and former Plateau state
governor, Jonah Jang.
Last July, there were reports that
Senator Pwajok had died but his special
assistant on media and publicity refuted
the story and said the former lawmaker
was hale and hearty. The spokesman
had also claimed at the time that the
politicians team were “not oblivious of
the fact that the unfolding mischief is a
publicity strategy to distract the teeming
supporters of GNS Pwajok from the
ongoing judicial arbitration
process which is highly in our favour.”
Senator Pwajok however eventually lost
his bid to have Governor Lalong’s
election reversed at the tribunal which
delivered its verdict on Monday.

More details will be communicated.

Buhari Speaks - I Will Expose Jonathan Soon @EasyNetVibe

In reply to the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP)’s
national publicity secretary, Olisa Metuh’s claim

that President Muhammudu Buahri was planning to loot the economy,
the president has replied saying the billions embezzled by the PDP
under Goodluck Jonathan will be recovered,
exposed to the public and returned to the
treasury.

In a statement by the president’s special adviser
on media and publicity, Femi Adesina,
Buhari claimed that his administration has matured and started bearing fruit.

The statement reads: “This must be deja vu, as it
was the pastime of the immediate past administration, and the enormity of the sleaze
will be evident when stolen money, to the tune of
billions of dollars, is recovered, and returned to
the national treasury soon.

“In the process of time, after all that is being
planned by the current administration has
matured, and bearing fruits,

Nigerians will be
able to determine who is serving them
acceptably, and who has taken them for a ride. It
is just a matter of time.”

The statement added that Olisa Metuh and his
master “have a long road of regrets to travel”
when probing begins.

Buhari said the mess created by the previous
administration was being cleared adding that Jonathan had no reason to run the affairs of Nigeria the way he did.

Buhari added that the cleaning process would
take a monumental effort.

The statement continued: “The Buhari
administration is naturally contemplative
because there was absolutely no rhyme or reason
to the way PDP ran the country, particularly in
the immediate past dispensation.
That is why the Augean Stable is being cleaned now,
and it requires scrupulous and painstaking planning.

“Across all sectors, our national life was
devalued, and it takes meticulousness and sure-
footedness to repair all the breaches.
This, the Buhari administration will deliver.”

He added that the country “had teamed up to
uproot an administration that had brought the
country to her knees, and was about to tip her off
the precipice. And Nigerians have resolved that
never would they allow any government to divide
them along regional, religious and ethnic fault
lines again.”

Last week, Buhari assured northern leaders who
he was meeting with that his administration

will recover stolen funds with the help of the
United States.

Before that meeting, Buhari claimed he
encountered an empty treasury when he
assumed office. However,

Nigeria’s former
minister and deputy chairman of the National
Planning Commission, Abubakar Olanrewaju
Sulaiman, dismissed such claims.
