A bomb blast suspected to be from an explosive device has just occurred at the School of Hygiene, Kano which is located along Gida Murtala Road. The high calibre improvised explosive device went off aroud 2pm at a time the school is in session. The blast appeared to come from a parking lot next to the provost’s office of the School of Hygiene, a post-secondary training school, said a teacher who requested anonymity. The spokesperson of the Kano Police, Magaji Majiya, confirmed the blast to reporters. He said the state’s Commissioner of Police and other officers were on their way to the scene of the blast.
